I've been dumped by a few women who claimed I was too nice, and that nice equals boring. One of them claimed I didn't argue with her enough. Another broke up wit me and immediately began dating an alcoholic who verbally abused her, got her pregnant, then left her. It's sad and baffling, and it happens constantly.
